Rooms above a quiet bay
Every room is different. The light is the same.
Whitewashed stone, plaster, terracotta and warm timber. What changes from room to room is what lies outside the door.
Four ways to step out
Each room opens onto something of its own.
A terrace over the water
Breakfast in the sun, the bay below.
A courtyard garden
Shade under the trees, and the scent of the herbs.
The pool, a few steps away
Straight from your door into the water.
A walled lawn of your own
Behind stone walls, with the house to yourselves.
In every room
Breakfast until noon, and the rest of the day is yours.
The whole house, yours too
Its terraces step down the hillside towards the water, and the lawn ends at a sunken seat around a fire bowl, where most evenings finish. Whichever room you choose, the pool, the gardens and the cove at the foot of the path come with it.
Questions we are often asked
Yes, with every room. It is served until noon on the terrace, or brought to your room if you prefer, and the kitchen is glad to work around allergies and early starts.
Two nights for most of the year, and three in July and August.
Yes. The Hortus Suite and The Press House each have a twin room beside the double, and The Kelyra Suite has a sitting room; all three take four guests. Cots are free on request, and we can arrange a babysitter with a day's notice.
The nearest airport is within an hour of the house. We arrange transfers in both directions; send us your arrival time when you book.
Some of the rooms are reached without steps from the car park. The rest of the house is reached by stone steps and garden paths, so please ask us before booking if steps are difficult.
Your room is ready in the afternoon, and arrival and departure times are on every room's page and in your confirmation. If you arrive early or leave late, we will keep your luggage and a shower free for you.
